Why does my game look so bad after reinstall?

I've been having PC issues lately, and long story short I did a reinstall of Windows. Now my game looks awful and I'm not sure how to fix it? Objects at a short distance look very blurry and not rendered in, and I'm experiencing lots of flickering trees and such. In the past, my game has always looked very sharp and not blurry at all.
