I found this guy who claimed to be relatively new to the game and when we went to cook up some food together he said don't worry he'll take care of it and showed me this trick where I guess he only put a very small amount of fuel in the fire to the point where it'd be hot enough to cook food, but there'd be no smoke coming through the chimney.
