Cars + Servers question

Hello, I got this game on sale and have been playing this game with my buddy. We got the grip of the game and how it works/what you should do. We've been playing on official servers for the time being and have been looking for a car. We went deep into the map on Chernarusplus but found nothing. I saw that somebody on an official server was stashing all the cars on top of a building in a Reddit post and that kind of made us log off. Is it really that hard to find a car in this game?
