I’m getting back into DayZ again after a long hiatus. I’ve put in another dozen or so hours. I played a lot in 2024-2025 and put it up for a while to play other games. But with the new update, I’ve been wanting to get back into it. Now, I know that in terms of experience I’m still considered a newbie even with 300 hours. It’s just the nature of DayZ. I still can’t even navigate without pouring over Izurvive on my phone to plan my route when I find out my spawn. I play community servers, on (PS5) with a controller. And they usually spawn you with a tourist map which helps immensely. However, in terms of actual base building and PvP I’m extremely inexperienced. I’ve probably gotten 10 kills over the course of those 300 hours (some of which may or may not be fresh spawns I’ll shamefully admit).
